Native queens available for June

I should have queens available by the end of June, weather permitting, and am taking orders now.

I graft all the queens myself from my own Amm stock.

About Jonathan Getty

Jonathan Getty is a member of the Belfast & District branch of the Ulster Beekeepers Association and is at least a fourth generation beekeeper in the Getty family. His main beekeeping interest is queen rearing based on our native bee Apis mellifera mellifera. He started up the Belfast Minnowburn queenrearing group several years ago and it now has about 50 active members. He also manages about 30-40 colonies of his own. Jonathan holds a BSc Hons in Psychology from Queens University Belfast and gained a postgraduate teaching qualification at Stranmillis Training College. He is a fluent Spanish speaker.

      Best to pay now as I will be delivering in the order they are paid up and I am getting quite a few orders in already.

    Hi Jonathan
    I will be looking for about 4 queens this year. Let me know how much they are and I’ll drop the dosh around. I cannot get to the BBKA AGM this pm due to a son’s wedding aftermath but in response to your earlier request for committee volunteers I’m happy to help if needed or if you’re stuck for a name for the committee.
